Tempers is the project of New York–based singer-songwriter Jasmine Golestaneh, melting low-lit poetic synth-pop with hints of techno, shoegaze and post-punk.
The 2015 debut album Services featured the underground dance floor hit “Strange Harvest,” followed by the acclaimed LPs Private Life (2019) and New Meaning (2022) on Dais Records. Tempers’ art-world sensibility has led to collaborations beyond the traditional music sphere, including Junkspace (2018), a concept album created in partnership with renowned architect Rem Koolhaas.
The latest album, Delusion, was co-produced by Golestaneh and Jorge Elbrecht, and features collaborations with visual artists Camille Henrot, Sandra Mujinga and Estelle Hoy. The album was released on Fear of Luxury and distributed by Cascine / Secretly Distribution.
Tempers has toured internationally, appearing at festivals including Levitation, Substance, Hipnosis, Synästhesie, and Grauzone, in addition to headline performances at the Andy Warhol Museum, ICA, Lodge Room, Public Records, and Kantine am Berghain.
